Twin-wheel roller track – gravity roller track for containers and trays
The roller track with two wheels per position: the bottom of the container rests on more points and runs down more steadily. For trays, crates and containers on flow racks and FIFO shelving, in standard or ESD version, in 4000 mm bars that we cut to length.
Why choose it
More support points
Two wheels per position: the bottom of the container is better supported.
Stable running
Trays and crates run down straight, with less wobbling.
ESD too
ESD version for EPA areas.
Made to measure
4000 mm bar cut to the lane depth.
Choose it if…
- You move trays or containers that you want to guide more steadily.
- The bottom of the containers needs more support points.
- You need a twin-wheel roller track, also in ESD version.
Choose another solution if…
- You need the basic version, also coloured or ESD: Roller track →
- You want a side edge that guides the container: Roller track with edge →
- You have heavy containers: HD roller track →

What you need to complete the lane
End-of-lane stop
Holds the container on the picking side; available in high and low versions.
View product →The quantity and position of hooks, clips and guides depend on lanes and containers: we specify them in the component list.
Flow control and identification
Roller track brake
Slows down descending containers where the lane is long or the load heavy.
View product →Brakes and friction rollers are chosen according to container weight and slope: we size them with you.
How a roller track lane is assembled
The typical layout of a gravity level on a Green Frame structure:
Inclined frame
The Ø 28 cross pipes carrying the roller track are higher on the loading side and lower on the picking side; you adjust the slope with rotating connectors.
View product →Hooks at the head and tail
The roller track hooks onto the cross pipes with roller track hooks; clips fix it to the pipe.
View product →Stop at the tail
On the picking side the stop, high or low, holds the container in the picking position.
View product →For long lanes, an intermediate support pipe is added under the roller track: we define its position on the project.
The LeanProducts service
From sketch to ready-to-use gravity rack:
FIFO rack design
We start from containers, quantity per lane and space: we define lanes, slope, number of roller tracks and supports, with the load calculation for the structure.
Cut to length
In our workshop we cut Green Frame pipes, roller tracks and guides to the required length.
Kit or assembled flow rack
We deliver the gravity rack assembled or as a kit, with the parts cut and the component list.
Modifications and spare parts
When containers or codes change, we add lanes, move levels and supply spare parts.
Send us a sketch or the dimensions of the rack and containers: we will propose the configuration with the list of codes.

The roller track is the basic version, in grey, black, red or ESD. The one with edge has a side edge that guides the container, in standard or ESD version. The twin-wheel one has two wheels per position and gives more stable guidance, also in ESD version. The HD is reinforced for heavy loads. The rounded one has wheels with a rounded profile. If in doubt, send us photos, dimensions and weight of the containers: we will tell you the right track.
It depends on the weight of the containers, the material and shape of their base and the length of the lane: with too little slope containers stop, with too much they reach the end with force. On the Green Frame structure the slope is adjusted with rotating connectors on the pipes carrying the roller track. We define it with you starting from the weight and dimensions of the containers; where needed, brakes and friction rollers slow the arrival.
It depends on the type of track, how many tracks you put under each container and the distance between the support pipes: more tracks and more supports, more load. For heavy containers there is the HD roller track. Send us the weight and dimensions of the containers and how many you want per lane: we will size the roller track and structure.
The roller track rests on the Ø 28 mm cross pipes of the structure, inclined according to the slope. At the head and tail you hook it onto the pipes with roller track hooks (roller track hook, bridge hook, end hook) and clips fix it to the pipe. At the end of the lane you fit the stop, high or low, which holds the container. For long lanes, add an intermediate support pipe. We give you the exact list of hooks and clips for your rack.
Roller tracks come in 4000 mm bars and we cut them to the lane length. Tell us the rack depth or send us a sketch: we calculate the length taking account of hooks and stops.
When you want more stable guidance: the container rests on two wheels per position instead of one. It is worthwhile with trays and with containers that have a narrow or not very rigid bottom. Send us a photo of the bottom of your containers: we will tell you whether the twin wheel makes a difference.
Yes, the GF28-RDESD. It is for shelving and workstations in EPA areas; for the complete structure we will specify the other conductive components.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
