GF-N F35 profile: Ø 28 mm pipe with 35 mm flat flange
The GF-N Ø 28 mm pipe with a 35 mm flat flange: it carries labels, small-parts holders and signs, and acts as a support for trays and boxes. It is stiffer than the standard pipe: over a 1000 mm span it takes over 500 N at mid-span with 5 mm of deflection. It is assembled with 28 series inner and outer connectors.
Why choose it
Integrated label holder
Tags and small-parts holders are fixed on the flange: every location has its name.
Tray support
The flange supports trays and boxes, and you adjust the height by moving the pipe on the uprights.
More than twice the load capacity
Over a 1000 mm span it takes 507–566 N at mid-span, against 195 N for the standard pipe.
28 series connectors
Accepts GF-N inner and outer connectors.
Choose it if…
- You want a cross member that carries labels or small-parts holders.
- You need a height-adjustable support for trays or boxes.
- You want more load capacity than the standard pipe without changing connectors.
Choose another solution if…
- You need a wider flange for signs and containers: GF-N F50 profile →
- You need the same function on a light Ø 19 pipe: GF-S F35 profile →
- You want to fix accessories with screws anywhere: GF-N profile with C10 slot →

Application example
The F35 is used as a cross member that carries or supports something:
- Trolley and shelving rails: the flange supports trays and boxes
- Front cross members with tags and small-parts holders
- Assembly workstations: height-adjustable supports
What you assemble it with
Before ordering, we check with you which way the flange should face relative to the joints.
Flange horizontal or vertical
The load capacity changes little, the use does:
Flange horizontal
Over 1000 mm it takes 507 N at mid-span with 5 mm of deflection: this is the orientation for supporting trays and boxes.
Flange vertical
Over 1000 mm it takes 566 N at mid-span: the flange becomes a front strip for labels.
Joints
With high loads the connector matters too: GF-N 90° connectors hold 800 N against slipping.
For complete shelves and levels, we calculate the load capacity, taking account of cross members, joints and feet.
The LeanProducts service
From drawing to finished structure, with a single point of contact:
Design and load calculation
We start from your sketch or dimensions: we choose profiles and connectors and check spans, joints and loads.
Cut to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in the design, ready to assemble.
Kit or assembled structure
You receive the kit with the cut parts and the list of components, or the structure already assembled.
Spare parts and modifications
When the process changes we supply components and new cuts to modify or extend the structure.
Send us a sketch, a photo or the overall dimensions: we will reply with codes, quantities and cut lengths.

Loads concentrated at the centre of a pipe fixed at both ends with connectors, span measured between the uprights: in a structure, joints and supports also count, and we carry out the full check on the design.

Two things: it carries labels, tags and small-parts holders, and it acts as a support for trays and boxes. By moving the pipe on the uprights you adjust the height of the support.
Over a 1000 mm span, with the load at mid-span and 5 mm of deflection, it takes 507 N with the flange horizontal and 566 N with the flange vertical: more than twice the standard pipe, which takes 195 N.
The F35 has the narrower flange, is slightly stiffer and is also used as a support; the F50 has the wider flange, handy for signs and large small-parts holders. Pipe and connectors are the same.
Both inner and outer GF-N series connectors. When you order, tell us which way the flange should face: we will prepare cuts and joint positions accordingly.
Yes, it is one of the typical uses: the F35 flange supports the tray and you adjust its height by moving the pipe on the uprights.
Yes, the GF-S F35 profile has a similar flange on a Ø 19 mm pipe and weighs 0.40 kg/m: it suits light structures and small workstations.
The standard GF-N profile is suitable for most uprights and cross members. If a cross member is long or loaded use the GF-N W fitted upright (about 10 times stiffer), or the T (about 1.5 times) or the Hard (about 1.7 times, also for joints that take impacts), which have the same diameter. To fix plate castors, panels or rollers with T-nuts choose the profile with C10 slot; F35 and F50 have a flat flange for labels, small parts holders and supports. The sliding profile has a smooth surface for sliding parts and boxes, the round roller profile becomes a roller with the pin connectors, LS and LS with S slot carry a linear slide and the linear guide profile is the track for the linear rollers.
The GF-N Ø 28 is the standard for workstations, flow racks and trolleys. The GF-S Ø 19 weighs about half as much (0.20 kg/m versus 0.37) and is for light frames, dividers, guards and small mechanisms. The GF-G Ø 43 is for uprights and cross members that have to carry a lot: over a 1000 mm span it supports 851 N at the centre versus 195 N for the GF-N, for the same deflection. It is often worth mixing them, for example GF-G uprights and GF-N cross members joined by mixed connectors.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
