GF-N profile with C10 slot: Ø 28 mm pipe with slot for T-nuts, castors and panels
The Green Frame profile with a 10 mm slot on one side: insert a T-nut and use a screw to fix plate castors, panels, brackets, hooks and rollers wherever you want. The round side connects with GF-N outer connectors. It is the typical profile for the base of pipe trolleys.
Why choose it
Fixings wherever you want
With the T-nut in the slot you fit castors, brackets and panels at any point, without drilling the pipe.
Designed for trolleys
Two side-by-side slotted profiles carry the plate castors with four T-nuts and the foot brake.
The slot acts as a guide
Slot rollers run in the slot: slides and sliders move along the profile.
Still a Green Frame pipe
The round side takes GF-N outer connectors: you can fit it into any Ø 28 frame.
Choose it if…
- You need to fix plate castors under a trolley.
- You want to mount panels, brackets, hooks or sensors in an adjustable position.
- You need a guide for rollers or slides along the pipe.
Choose another solution if…
- The cross member does not need to carry accessories: the standard pipe is lighter (0.37 kg/m): GF-N profile →
- You need a slot on a Ø 43 pipe for more heavily loaded structures: GF-G profile with C10 slot →
- You want a small slot on a light Ø 19 pipe: GF-S profile with C6 slot →

Application example
The slotted profile works where the structure has to carry something fixed to it:
- Trolley bases: plate castors and foot brake on two profiles side by side
- Panels and guards: sheets and brackets fixed with T-nuts
- Slides and sliders: slot rollers running along the profile
What you mount in the slot
Hook for C10 slot
It slides into the slot and locks with a twist: for hanging tools and signs.

How to assemble it
Three things to know before ordering:
Orient the slot
With the slot on the side the profile is stiffer: over 1000 mm it takes 334 N at mid-span, against 200 N with the slot facing down.
Outer connectors
It connects with GF-N outer connectors, which clamp onto the round side of the profile.
Plate castors
They go on two slotted profiles side by side, fixed with four T-nuts; from Ø 100 mm upwards with a spring washer.
The cross-section is 28 × 24 mm: the slotted side is 4 mm lower than a standard pipe. We take this into account in the project dimensions.
The LeanProducts service
From drawing to finished structure, with a single point of contact:
Design and load calculation
We start from your sketch or dimensions: we choose profiles and connectors and check spans, joints and loads.
Cut to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in the design, ready to assemble.
Kit or assembled structure
You receive the kit with the cut parts and the list of components, or the structure already assembled.
Spare parts and modifications
When the process changes we supply components and new cuts to modify or extend the structure.
Send us a sketch, a photo or the overall dimensions: we will reply with codes, quantities and cut lengths.

Loads concentrated at the centre of a pipe fixed at both ends with connectors, span measured between the uprights: in a structure, joints and supports also count, and we carry out the full check on the design.

Slide a T-nut into the slot, position the component and tighten the screw: you can move it along the profile whenever you like. This is how you mount castors, brackets, panels, sensors and hooks without drilling the pipe.
Two slotted profiles are placed side by side under the base and the castor plate is fixed with four T-nuts. For castors from Ø 100 mm upwards, add the spring washer. The foot brake is mounted on the same profiles.
On the side the profile is stiffer: over a 1000 mm span it takes 334 N at mid-span against 200 N with the slot underneath, always with 5 mm of deflection. Under trolley bases the slot faces down, because that is where you fix the castors.
GF-N outer connectors, which clamp onto the round side of the profile. For the end there is the reinforced inner end cap GFA-413, or the outer end cap GFA-401.
Yes. Slot rollers run in the slot: this way you build slides, sliders and small carriages that move along the profile. We will recommend the roller kit suited to the load.
The slotted profile is 24 mm high on the slot side instead of 28, weighs 0.68 kg/m instead of 0.37 and is stiffer with the slot on the side. In exchange for the slot fixings, it connects with GF-N outer connectors.
The standard GF-N profile is suitable for most uprights and cross members. If a cross member is long or loaded use the GF-N W fitted upright (about 10 times stiffer), or the T (about 1.5 times) or the Hard (about 1.7 times, also for joints that take impacts), which have the same diameter. To fix plate castors, panels or rollers with T-nuts choose the profile with C10 slot; F35 and F50 have a flat flange for labels, small parts holders and supports. The sliding profile has a smooth surface for sliding parts and boxes, the round roller profile becomes a roller with the pin connectors, LS and LS with S slot carry a linear slide and the linear guide profile is the track for the linear rollers.
The GF-N Ø 28 is the standard for workstations, flow racks and trolleys. The GF-S Ø 19 weighs about half as much (0.20 kg/m versus 0.37) and is for light frames, dividers, guards and small mechanisms. The GF-G Ø 43 is for uprights and cross members that have to carry a lot: over a 1000 mm span it supports 851 N at the centre versus 195 N for the GF-N, for the same deflection. It is often worth mixing them, for example GF-G uprights and GF-N cross members joined by mixed connectors.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
