FIFO Monorail 55 mm rail: FIFO lane for large trolleys and castors up to 55 mm
The heavy-duty version of the Monorail: anodised aluminium side walls on a 1.5 mm galvanised sheet steel base, for larger trolleys and heavier loads. It guides the castors on one side up to 55 mm wide, in lengths from 1200 to 2400 mm. It arrives pre-assembled, ready to lay.
Why choose it
For large trolleys
The galvanised steel base beneath the aluminium side walls withstands the constant passage of larger, more heavily loaded trolleys.
One guide, more space
It guides the castors on one side only: one rail per lane, lanes closer together and more free space on the shop floor.
Ready to lay
The rail arrives assembled: you position it, fit the end pieces and the lane is ready.
Signs and accessories
8 mm slots on both sides for boards, signs and overhead signage frames.
Choose it if…
- You have trolleys with castors up to 55 mm wide or trolleys larger than KLT dollies.
- The lanes carry heavy traffic and heavier loads.
- You want a rigid, pre-assembled lane that stays put.
- You need side slots for signs and signage frames.
Choose another solution if…
- You use light dollies with castors up to 40 mm: FIFO Monorail 40 mm →
- You need a custom guide width: FIFO Monorail Individual - Set of 2 rails with brackets →
- You want a self-adhesive yellow PVC lane, quick to install: Modular rail FIFO Station →
- You only need to stop the trolley at a precise point: Aluminium Park Station (2 pcs) →

Where the Monorail 55 is used
In lanes used by larger trolleys and heavier loads:
- Pallet dollies and shelf trolleys: FIFO lanes for large trolleys between warehouse and line
- Tugger train stations: trolley exchange areas with continuous traffic
- Production buffers: heavy semi-finished parts waiting, in the right order
- LIFO lanes: with the MONO-STOP-55 steel end stop at the end of the rail
For bulkier trolleys, the wide-V end piece makes entering the lane easier and has built-in impact protection.

We help you get from drawing to finished lane:
Flow and layout analysis
We start from what you move, how many trolleys go in and out and where they are loaded and picked: we design lanes, loading and picking points with you.
Configuration
We choose the system, lengths, end pieces, connectors and accessories based on castors, loads, floor and available space.
Delivery and commissioning
We deliver the complete kit, with the component list and installation instructions, and support you during start-up.
Spare parts and support
End pieces, connectors, screws and accessories remain available for extending the station or replacing damaged parts.
Send us a plan or a few photos of the area and the trolley dimensions: we will propose the configuration and quantities.

It is a lane marked out on the floor with guide rails, in which dollies and trolleys line up. It is loaded from one side and picked from the other: the first trolley in is the first out (First In, First Out). Material does not age at the back of the row, the operator always knows which trolley to take and trolleys are not left scattered in the aisles.
It gives every trolley a fixed place and a picking order: less searching, fewer unnecessary movements and less forgotten material. The number of trolleys in the lane shows the stock level at a glance, like a visual kanban, and with signs and information boards each lane has its own code. It is a typical tool for line-side supermarkets, milk runs and 5S projects.
The FIFO Station is a self-adhesive yellow PVC profile: it adapts to almost any castor width and guides trolleys on one or both sides. The Monorails are aluminium rails that guide the castors on one side only: the 40 for castors up to 40 mm wide, the 55 up to 55 mm and for larger trolleys and heavier loads; with the connecting plates you build multi-lane stations without drilling the floor. The individual Monorail has separate guide sides, for custom widths. The Flatrail is a 75 × 5 mm flat adhesive guide, with length on request.
The 40 guides castors up to 40 mm wide and is an all-aluminium anodised profile: it is the choice for dollies and light trolleys. The 55 guides castors up to 55 mm, has aluminium side walls on a 1.5 mm galvanised sheet steel base and is designed for larger trolleys and heavier loads. End pieces and straight connecting plates are specific to each size; brake, anti-return, joints and side plates are shared.
Yes: aluminium side walls and steel base arrive assembled, ready to use. You only need to fit the end pieces and accessories.
The MONO-BP-55-EK in plastic with aluminium base is the standard, in packs of 10. The MONO-EK-HD-55 in aluminium is for high-traffic areas. The wide-V MONO-BP-55-EKGS-V2 goes on the loading side, for large or bulky trolleys, and has built-in impact protection.
The end pieces have integrated plates that screw into the rail; with high loads they are also screwed to the floor. For long rails use the MONO-HB side fixing plates and, to extend them, the MONO-SV-100 steel joints.
Yes. The MONO-VB-W45D double-sided angled connecting plates join lanes of different lengths when they cannot be connected at the end pieces: this lets you shorten or interrupt a lane around pillars and obstacles. They are available for 400 and 800 mm centre distances.
Yes: fit the MONO-STOP steel stop at the end of the rail. The trolley cannot come out of the end and is loaded and picked from the same side. It is available for 40 and 55 mm rails.
With the MONO-EK-AS impact protection: two steel brackets, right and left, that screw onto the end piece and are also fixed to the floor. On the loading side you can also use the wide-V end piece, which has built-in protection.
With the MONO-BBR brush brake, which fits on the rail and slows the castor; braking is adjusted with the slotted holes and you can fit several brakes for intermediate stops. The MONO-RLS anti-return device, on the other hand, closes after the trolley has entered and prevents it from rolling back out of the loading side.
Yes. Send us a plan or photos of the area, trolley dimensions, castor type and width and how many trolleys each lane must hold: we will propose the system, number and length of rails, end pieces, connectors and accessories, with the complete list of codes.
