Pallet lid with retractable straps: secure the load without stretch film or strapping
The Loadhog plastic pallet lid, with the straps already integrated: you place it on the load, pull out the straps, hook them and tension them. With 2 straps it takes on average 20 seconds, against 2–3 minutes for strapping, and you no longer throw away film or strapping bands. Sizes 800×600, 1200×800 and 1200×1000, with 2 or 4 straps; for the 1200×800 there is also the version with a hook for Dolly and Adaptor Pallet.
Why choose it
Close in 20 seconds
You place it, pull out the straps, hook them and tension them with the locking mechanism: on average 20 seconds, against 2–3 minutes with strapping.
Zero one-way packaging
No film, no strapping, no single-use material to buy and dispose of: the lid comes back and goes out again.
Light and tough
Injection-moulded plastic, light and impact-resistant, with six handles: it is lifted and placed effortlessly and lasts a long time in distribution loops.
For different loads
It holds cardboard boxes and plastic containers of different shapes and sizes in place, and protects the load during handling.
Choose it if…
- You ship or move pallets in a closed loop, between supplier, plant and stores, and want to eliminate film and strapping.
- You close many pallets a day and packing time weighs on the shift.
- The load consists of boxes or plastic containers, even of different sizes.
- You need a security seal on the load.
- You use Dolly and Lean Adaptor Pallet and want to close the load right there.
Choose another solution if…
- You only need a lid for 1200×800 pallets, to be secured with your own straps or strapping: Plastic cover for pallet 1210x810 →
- You want a steel folding cage, closed and accessible from three sides: SmartCube Light →
- You need a plastic container on a pallet, with modular sides and a lid: Black plastic pallet for Modular Box →

Where the pallet lid is used
Wherever pallets move often and the film ends up in the skip after every trip:
- Logistics and distribution: pallets closed in a few seconds at dispatch, lids that come back with the empties
- Retail: deliveries to stores with the load protected and sealable
- Manufacturing: pallets of components between supplier and plant, also with KLTs on Dolly and Lean Adaptor Pallet
The lid pays off most in closed loops, where it comes back with the pallet or the dolly.

How the load is closed
1. Position the lid
You place it on top of the load, holding it by the handles.
2. Pull out the straps
The retractable straps come out of the lid and hook onto the pallet.
3. Tension
With the locking mechanism you pre-tension the straps: the load is secure.
To release, do the reverse: the straps retract into the lid and are not left lying around.
Details that make the difference
Designed for daily use and for automated lines:
Security seal
It is ready for a seal: you see at once whether the load was opened in transit.
Ready for automation
A dedicated hole allows the strap to be tensioned automatically; the logo in the centre lets cameras recognise the lid so it can be placed correctly on the pallet.
Hooks for every base
Standard hooks, hooks for wooden pallets and, on the 1200×800, the version with a hook for Dolly and Lean Adaptor Pallet.
