Good to know before you choose

Passageways and tables

  • KettyBot Pro fits through 55 cm, FlashBot Max through 60, BellaBot Pro through 65, PuduBot 2 through 80.
  • BellaBot Pro and PuduBot 2 need the same width for turning too.
  • Measure the narrowest point with the room full: we check it with you during the site survey.

Floors and thresholds

  • Indoors on level floors: thresholds up to 10 mm (5 mm for KettyBot Pro, 20 mm for FlashBot Max) and slopes up to 5°.
  • No steps, no outdoor seating on uneven paving or cobblestones.
  • FlashBot Max and PuduBot 2 also work in semi-outdoor areas.

Load per tray

  • BellaBot Pro: 4 trays of 10 kg, stable frame for soups and drinks.
  • KettyBot Pro: 2 trays of 10 kg plus the compartment for dirty dishes.
  • PuduBot 2: 10 kg per tray, up to 13 kg. For more, up to 300 kg, there is the T300.

Battery and charging

  • Runtime without load: PuduBot 2 15 h, BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro 11 h, FlashBot Max 9 h.
  • BellaBot Pro: swappable battery, for double shifts.
  • KettyBot Pro, FlashBot Max and PuduBot 2 return to the charging base on their own; the base is sold separately.

Calling with Pager and Watch

  • PUDU Pager: buttons on a LoRa network, they work even without internet.
  • PUDU Watch 4G: send the robot with an NFC card and receive an arrival notification.
  • They work with BellaBot Pro and PuduBot 2; for KettyBot Pro and FlashBot Max we confirm compatibility.

Elevators and doors

  • FlashBot Max: takes the lift by itself, via cloud with KONE and OTIS or with the PUDU control module.
  • Automatic doors and turnstiles with the IoT module; PuduBot 2 supports Bluetooth gates.
  • BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro work on a single floor.

Customisable screen and voice

  • BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro: 18.5" advertising screen with playlist, frequency and order of ads.
  • Content from the PUDU Link app or from a PC; on KettyBot Pro, different for each stop point.
  • KettyBot Pro: AI voice «hey PUDU»; expressions, voice and content can be customised with the PUDU Open Platform.

PUDU OS, API and Skill

  • PUDU Link app: status, tasks and battery of all PUDU robots on one screen.
  • PUDU Open Platform Cloud API to connect POS, PMS or hospital systems: no ready-made connector, development is done on the APIs.
  • PUDU Skill: the PUDU package for AI programming tools. We activate the APIs.

Hygiene and healthcare

  • FlashBot Max: closed, ventilated compartments, opened only by the recipient.
  • In hospitals and care homes: meals, linen, documents and non-critical materials. No medicines or clinical samples.
  • Clean them with the robot switched off, using a dry cloth: no water.

Frequently asked questions

Does a waiter robot replace dining room staff?

No, it supports them. The robot makes the repetitive trips between kitchen and tables, carries heavy dishes and brings back dirty ones; staff stay in the dining room for welcoming, taking orders and giving advice. The robot does not place the dish on the table: the customer takes it from the tray, or the waiter does.

BellaBot Pro, KettyBot Pro, PuduBot 2 or FlashBot Max: which one to choose?

BellaBot Pro is the waiter robot for the dining room: 4 trays of 10 kg, stable frame for soups and drinks, 18.5" advertising screen; it fits through 65 cm. KettyBot Pro is the most compact (55 cm): it welcomes, guides to the table or shelf and advertises, with 2 trays plus the compartment for dirty dishes. PuduBot 2 has large 520 × 435 mm trays for large dining rooms and canteens, but needs 80 cm. FlashBot Max, the new generation of FlashBot, is the only one with closed compartments and lift access: it is the robot for hotels, offices and care homes on multiple floors, not for the dining room.

How many robots do I need?

It depends on covers, distances from the kitchen, floors and deliveries at peak hours. Several robots can work together: with the PUDU Link app you see them all on one screen and, for FlashBot Max, the PUDU management platform distributes tasks and coordinates routes. We estimate the right number with you during the site survey.

Does the robot take orders? Does it connect to the POS or the hotel management system?

No: BellaBot Pro, KettyBot Pro and PuduBot 2 deliver and do not take orders, which remain with staff or the systems you already use (handhelds, QR codes, kiosks). There are no ready-made connectors for a specific POS or PMS: the connection can only be made through development on the PUDU Open Platform Cloud APIs, which send tasks and return robot status. We activate the APIs and support your IT team or integrator.

How much space is needed between tables? Does it work on any floor?

KettyBot Pro passes through 55 cm, FlashBot Max through 60, BellaBot Pro through 65, PuduBot 2 through 80. They work indoors on level floors: thresholds up to 10 mm (5 mm for the KettyBot Pro, 20 mm for the FlashBot Max) and slopes up to 5°. They cannot handle steps, cobblestones or uneven outdoor seating areas; FlashBot Max and PuduBot 2 also work in semi-outdoor areas. We measure the passages during the site survey.

Is it safe around children and elderly people?

The robots detect people and obstacles with LiDAR, cameras and depth sensors: they stop and go around them, and they have an emergency stop button. At intersections the BellaBot Pro projects a signal onto the floor, and the FlashBot Max also detects low obstacles such as luggage and trolleys. We set speeds and routes based on who uses the spaces: for deliveries, it is best to stay below 0.9 m/s.

Is Wi‑Fi required?

A network is needed for the PUDU Link app, updates and advertising content. BellaBot Pro and PuduBot 2 connect via Wi‑Fi or 4G; the KettyBot Pro via Wi‑Fi, and via 4G only in some versions. PUDU Pager buttons use their own LoRa network and work even without internet. We check coverage along the routes during the site survey.

Can the robots take the lift and change floors?

The FlashBot Max does, on its own: with KONE and OTIS elevators via the cloud, without modifying the installation, and with the PUDU control module for other brands. The PuduBot 2 has the elevator module among the PUDU accessories, to be checked against your installation. BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro work on a single floor.

Can they be used in hospitals or care homes?

Yes, for deliveries between wards and floors: meals, linen, documents and everyday items, so staff can stay close to residents. The FlashBot Max carries them in closed, ventilated compartments that open only with a PIN, phone or NFC. We do not offer them for medicines or clinical samples.

Who installs the robots? Can we see a demo?

LeanProducts, official PUDU distributor in Italy. We start with a site survey: passages, floors and thresholds, Wi‑Fi or 4G coverage, doors and elevators; on request we organise a demo at your premises. During installation we create the map, set up tables or delivery points, calls and content, then train your staff. After go-live you get direct support throughout Italy and original PUDU spare parts.
