ESD grounding set - grounding for ESD workstations
The set creates the grounding point of the ESD workstation built from profiles: it discharges the electrostatic charges of the structure in a controlled way, with a discharge resistance of 1 MΩ. It is fixed in the C8 or C10 slot with the M6 screw included. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component: complete it with grounding cable, Potentialfix for the panels and wrist strap for the operator.
Why choose it
Defined discharge
Discharge resistance of 1 MΩ: charges are discharged to ground in a controlled way.
For slot C8 and C10
Mounts on the workstation profiles with the M6 screw included.
Complete system
With grounding cable, Potentialfix and wrist strap you connect structure, panels and operator.
Protects components
Reduces the risk of damage to components sensitive to electrostatic discharge.
Choose it if…
- You are building or upgrading an ESD workstation made of profiles.
- You need a grounding point with defined discharge.
- The structure has slots C8 or C10.
- You also want to ground panels, mat and operator.
Choose another solution if…
- You need to connect two profiles to each other or a profile to earth: ESD grounding cable →
- You need a PE protective conductor connection in the slot: Connection set for protective earth conductor →

The complete ESD workstation
Send us the workstation drawing: we'll tell you the ESD components for structure, worktop and operator.
The LeanProducts service
From the bill of materials to ready-to-assemble parts, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in your parts list.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from the bill of materials or a sketch: we check profiles, brackets, nuts and cover caps for every joint.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply the same original components.
Send us the bill of materials or a photo of the workstation: we'll reply with codes and quantities.

For connecting the profile structure of the workstation to ground in a controlled way, with 1 MΩ of discharge resistance. It is the point to which the other ESD parts are connected: panels, mat and operator wrist strap.
The connection element, which is fixed to the profile with an M6 T-nut or an M6 swivel-in sliding block with spring. The structure must be grounded with the ESD grounding set.
The protective conductor set is for electrical safety: it connects the installation's PE to the structure carrying electrical equipment. The ESD grounding set, on the other hand, discharges electrostatic charges with a defined resistance. They are two different functions.
To the workstation grounding point, made with the ESD grounding set. To connect it conductively to other ESD surfaces, such as material flow surfaces, use copper adhesive tape.
When you mount panels or sheets in the profile frame on an ESD workstation: the plate connects them to the profile with slot C10, so the panel element is not left isolated. The structure must be earthed with the ESD grounding set.
Yes, but the plate is electrically isolating: to discharge static in a defined way, connect the structure with the ESD grounding set.
It is fixed in the C8 or C10 slot of a workstation profile with the M6 screw included, tightened to 10 Nm with a 19 mm spanner. The connection to the earthing system must be made by an electrician according to the EPA area rules.
No: the cable connects the parts to each other. The ground connection with defined discharge is made with the ESD grounding set.
Yes, it is an ESD tool holder, suitable for workstations with protection against electrostatic discharge. Also ground the workstation structure.
If the workstation stands on a conductive floor, the feet would discharge to ground without control. With a damping ring or plate you insulate the feet and discharge passes only through the set, in a defined way.
The set is the grounding point of the workstation. The grounding cable connects profiles to each other, or a profile to earth, when parts of the structure are not in reliable electrical contact.
Add the PUR damping plate of the same diameter as the base plate: it damps vibrations and electrically insulates the foot. In an ESD area, connect the structure with the grounding set to discharge charges in a controlled way.
With the Potentialfix: an aluminium angle that connects the panel element, for example a knee guard screen, to the profile.
With the ESD wrist strap and its connection element, fixed to the structure with an M6 T-nut or an M6 swivel-in sliding block with spring.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
