Mounting rim profile - fixing panels in the slot
The mounting rim profile is the simplest way to mount panels, sheets and plates in a profile frame: it is inserted into the slot and holds the panel edge, without screws, while you assemble the frame. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component, in standard PP/TPE version, in PE for 6 mm panels and Clean Room in TPE for the clean room. The PP version also acts as a cover profile.
Why choose it
Panel in the slot
Inserted into the slot, it holds the panel edge without screws.
Different thicknesses
Versions for panels of 1–3, 2–4, 2–6, 3–8 and 6 mm.
Clean room
The TPE Clean Room version is tested for volatile organic emissions at room temperature.
Also as a cover
The PP profile also closes unused slots.
Choose it if…
- You mount the panels while assembling the frame
- The panels are 1 to 8 mm thick
- You work in a clean room (Clean Room version)
- You want a fastening with no screws or machining
Choose another solution if…
- You need to mount or change panels with the frame already closed: Glazing profile Clean Room →
- You want to fix the panel with sheet metal screws: Screw-on strip profile →
- You need to close the guard with corrugated mesh: Profile for protective grid →

Other systems for fixing panels
Choose based on when you mount the panel and how you want to remove it.
The LeanProducts service
From parts list to ready-to-assemble kit, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths on your parts list: full bar or cut to length.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from your parts list or a sketch: we check connectors, swivel joints, panel profiles and accessories for each slot.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply the same original components.
Send us the parts list or a photo of the structure: we reply with codes and quantities.

In the profile slot with the mounting rim profile, or on brackets and supports for panel elements. Send us the frame dimensions and we will tell you what you need.
Not with the mounting rim profile: panel and profile must be inserted while you assemble the frame. If you need to add or replace panels with the frame closed, use the glazing profile, which can be retrofitted.
The mounting rim profile holds the panel in the slot without screws, but it must be mounted while you assemble the frame. With the screw-on strip the panel is fixed with sheet metal screws and removed by unscrewing them.
It is in TPE, comes on a 10 m roll and is suitable for the clean room: it is tested for volatile organic emissions at room temperature. Depending on the panel thickness it is used on one side only or on both.
Yes, the PP mounting rim profile also works as a cover profile. If you only need to cover slots there is also the dedicated cover profile.
It is for slot C10 and 6 mm panels, in 2000 mm bars. For panels from 2 to 6 mm in slot C10 use the standard PP/TPE version.
Add up the panel sides that go into the slot. The standard and PE versions come in 2000 mm bars, the Clean Room on a 10 m roll to cut into sections. Send us the frame dimensions and we will calculate quantities and panel sizes for you.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
