Bracket - bracket for aluminium strut profiles with slot C6, C8, C10
The bracket is the most widely used connection in strut profile frames: you place it in the corner between upright and crossmember, the centring tabs engage the slots and keep it aligned, then you tighten screws and nuts. Assembly is fast, precise and with no risk of twisting. It comes in two versions: the “bracket only” is the part without fasteners, for those who already have screws and nuts in stock; the “set with screws and nuts” contains the bracket and the fastening hardware for its slot, ready to fit.
Why choose it
Self-aligning
The centring tabs engage the slots: the bracket does not rotate and the joint stays square while you tighten.
Break-off tabs
To mount it on a plate or crosswise to the slot, simply break off the tabs.
Mixed slots
The C8/C10 versions join a profile with an 8 mm slot to one with a 10 mm slot.
R brackets
R brackets have rounded corners, with no interfering edges, and allow any angle you like.
Choose it if…
- You build machine frames, workbenches or guards with 90° joints
- You want a connection without drilling or tapping the profiles
- You need a joint that does not rotate while you tighten
- You need to join profiles with slot C8 and C10
Choose another solution if…
- The joint must stay inside the slot, for door and panel frames: Inner bracket →
- You want a 2- or 3-way corner with profiles of the same section: Cubic connector, with screws and cover caps →
- You need to withstand very high forces on 90x90 and larger profiles: Load connector 180x180 Dynamic Load →

M8 collar screw
For fitting brackets quickly.
For each bracket, choose nuts and screws for the same slot as the profile.

With the R40x43 bracket for slot C10, on the shelving or trolley structure. Send us a sketch with the container dimensions: we will tell you cut lengths and accessories.
The bracket only is the die-cast part without fasteners: choose it if you already have screws and nuts for the right slot. The set contains the bracket with screws and nuts for its slot, so it is ready to fit. For a new frame the set is usually the better choice.
When you connect a small profile to a larger one, for example a 30x30 to a 45x45: the bracket of the smaller profile is positioned on the slot C10 of the larger one with the intermediate element.
It is designed for the bracket 45x45. For other sections, ask us: we'll check the right accessory for your joint.
Choose the same section as the profile you are connecting: 45x45 for 45x45 and 45x45L profiles, 45x90 for a 45x90 crossmember, 30x30 for 30 series profiles. For larger profiles the wider bracket carries more: for example 3000 N with the 45x45, 6000 N with the 45x90 and 12000 N with the 90x90.
Because the maximum moment depends on the direction of the load relative to the joint. For the 45x45 the values are 60 and 160 N·m, for the 45x90 180, 400 and 60 N·m. In the Specifications tab you will find the values for each variant: if the joint is loaded as a cantilever, send us the drawing and we will check it.
Yes, with the C8/C10 brackets (30x30, 60x60 and R28x38 bracket): one side goes in the 8 mm slot and the other in the 10 mm slot. The set includes the screws for both slots.
When you need a connection at any angle or do not want protruding edges: R brackets have rounded corners. The R28x38 for slot C10 is also used to fix the 30x45C guide profile to the profiles.
Yes, with M8 collar screws: they fit simply and quickly instead of the screw and nut pair. Ask us which combination to use for your section.
It is the same bracket with a special silver RAL 9006 finish, for visible structures where appearance matters. This product page includes the designLINE set of the R40x43 bracket; for other sections, ask us.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
