Compressed air connection element
The central hole and hollow chambers of strut profiles can carry compressed air up to 8 bar: with these elements you feed it in or tap it off at the point you need, without hoses along the structure. Choose the connection according to where you want to connect: central hole, hollow chamber or profile end.
Why choose it
Air where you need it
Take-off points anywhere on the strut profile, with no visible hoses.
Structure and line in one
The 45 Pneu connector joins two 45x45 profiles end to end and passes air through the central hole.
Sealing
Seals included with each element.

G3/8 if you connect the air to the central bore of the profile, G1/2 if you use one of the hollow chambers. The M12-G1/4 screw fitting screws into the M12 threaded central bore. The 45 Pneu connector is used when you need to butt-join two 45x45 or 45x45L profiles and carry the air through.
The screw fitting screws into the M12 threaded central bore, so it works at the end of the profile. The connection element mounts on the side of the profile, at any point, with a G3/8 port on the central bore or G1/2 on the hollow chamber.
For the G3/8 and G1/2 elements, two blind holes, Ø 9.8 and Ø 21 mm, at the take-off point, made with the dedicated drilling device. The M12-G1/4 fitting and the 45 Pneu connector need the M12 thread in the central bore. Send us your parts list: we will tell you what to allow for.
Yes: the connection element and the T-connector 45 Pneu include it in the delivery. This is the spare seal.
No: the G1/2 connection element works with seal A only. Seal B is used with the G3/8 element and with the T-connector 45 Pneu.
On 45x90, 45x180 and 90x90L profiles you can seal the end airtight with the flange plate for compressed air profile.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
