In ESD anodised aluminium, PP or coloured PVC, 2000 mm bar.
AL Modular System · Cover caps and covers
Cover profile
The cover profile is inserted into the slot and stays flush with the surface of the strut profile: the slot does not collect dirt and the cables laid inside stay covered. With the colours you can mark zones and functions of the structure. For slot C6 there is also a soft PVC version on a 10 m roll.
Why choose it
Flush
Does not protrude from the profile: the structure stays smooth and easy to clean.
Covered cables
Run the cables in the slot and close it over them.
Colours for marking
In slot C10 yellow, orange, red, blue, grey, black or transparent.

The natural aluminium and black RAL 9005 versions are ESD, but the conductive connection with the strut profile must be ensured by design, for example with a screw. If the structure is in an EPA area, include it in the parts list.
No, il profilo in PVC non è conduttivo. In un’area ESD usa il profilo di copertura in alluminio anodizzato per cava C6, in barre da 2000 mm, collegato in modo conduttivo al profilo, per esempio con una vite.
The system's plastic profiles, for example cover profiles. It is not a tool for aluminium profiles.
No. The D9.8 bush is for a clean joint: its hole does not touch the slot flanks, which you can close completely with a cover profile.
Anodised aluminium matches the profile and is ESD. PP and rigid PVC give you colours to mark zones and routes. Soft PVC on roll for slot C6 is handy on long runs.
In rotolo solo per cava C6. Per le cave C8 e C10 il profilo di copertura è in barre da 2000 mm, in diversi colori.
You need it if you cut the cover profiles to the length of the slots yourself: with the shears you do it on site, without a saw.
In PP signal grey, black ESD and yellow, as well as natural aluminium ESD. The other colours on the product page are for slot C10.
Yes, the PP mounting rim profile also works as a cover profile. If you only need to cover slots there is also the dedicated cover profile.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
