GF-N LS profile with S slot: rail for linear slide and slot for panels
The LS profile with an additional S slot: the linear slide runs on the rail and you fix parts and panels in the slot. It is taller and stiffer than the LS, with a moment of inertia of 6.6 × 10⁴ mm⁴ on the strong axis. The in-line anti-return device also mounts on the profile, for mechanisms that must move in one direction only.
Why choose it
Slide and slot together
The linear slide runs on the rail, the S slot stays free for parts and panels.
Panels on the profile
You fix panels and guards directly on the profile, without extra brackets.
Stiffer
6.6 × 10⁴ mm⁴ on the strong axis: more than five times the standard pipe.
In-line anti-return
The 300 N in-line anti-return device mounts on the profile, for one-way movements.
Choose it if…
- On the moving part you need to fix panels or parts.
- You need a linear slide profile stiffer than the LS.
- The mechanism must move in one direction only, with anti-return.
Choose another solution if…
- You do not need to fix anything on the profile, the slide is enough: GF-N LS profile →
- You need a rail for carriages on linear rollers: GF-N linear guide profile →
- You want a T-nut slot on a Ø 28 pipe: GF-N profile with C10 slot →

Application example
The LS with S slot is used where the moving part carries panels or accessories:
- Sliding doors and panels on guards and workstations
- Sliding tables with accessories fixed on the profile
- Karakuri mechanisms with in-line anti-return
What you complete it with
In-line anti-return
Lets the part move forward and prevents it going back, capacity 300 N.

How you use it
Slide, slot and anti-return:
Fit the slide
The linear slide runs on the rail along the full length of the profile; each slide carries 50 N.
Fix parts and panels
In the S slot you fix panels, brackets and parts, even with the slide already fitted.
Block the return
With the in-line anti-return device the part moves forward and does not come back: typical of karakuri mechanisms.
Tell us the stroke, load and what has to be fixed on the profile: we will propose slide, fixings and components.
The LeanProducts service
From drawing to finished structure, with a single point of contact:
Design and load calculation
We start from your sketch or dimensions: we choose profiles and connectors and check spans, joints and loads.
Cut to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in the design, ready to assemble.
Kit or assembled structure
You receive the kit with the cut parts and the list of components, or the structure already assembled.
Spare parts and modifications
When the process changes we supply components and new cuts to modify or extend the structure.
Send us a sketch, a photo or the overall dimensions: we will reply with codes, quantities and cut lengths.

For fixing parts and panels on the profile even after fitting the linear slide. This way the moving part can carry a guard, a surface or an accessory without extra brackets.
The LS has only the rail for the slide; this one also has the S slot. It is taller (52 mm overall against 43), heavier (0.69 kg/m against 0.61) and stiffer on the strong axis (6.6 against 3.9 × 10⁴ mm⁴).
Yes: the in-line anti-return device GFA-C99 is made for this profile. It lets the part move in one direction and blocks it in the other, with a capacity of 300 N.
Each linear slide carries 50 N. For heavier parts we will assess with you several slides or a different guide layout.
Yes, with GF-N connectors on the pipe's grip surface. For the ends, use 28 series inner end caps.
Panels, sheets and parts with fixings suited to the S slot. Tell us the thickness and material of the panel: we will tell you how to fix it.
The standard GF-N profile is suitable for most uprights and cross members. If a cross member is long or loaded use the GF-N W fitted upright (about 10 times stiffer), or the T (about 1.5 times) or the Hard (about 1.7 times, also for joints that take impacts), which have the same diameter. To fix plate castors, panels or rollers with T-nuts choose the profile with C10 slot; F35 and F50 have a flat flange for labels, small parts holders and supports. The sliding profile has a smooth surface for sliding parts and boxes, the round roller profile becomes a roller with the pin connectors, LS and LS with S slot carry a linear slide and the linear guide profile is the track for the linear rollers.
The GF-N Ø 28 is the standard for workstations, flow racks and trolleys. The GF-S Ø 19 weighs about half as much (0.20 kg/m versus 0.37) and is for light frames, dividers, guards and small mechanisms. The GF-G Ø 43 is for uprights and cross members that have to carry a lot: over a 1000 mm span it supports 851 N at the centre versus 195 N for the GF-N, for the same deflection. It is often worth mixing them, for example GF-G uprights and GF-N cross members joined by mixed connectors.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
