Dolly Type VII C: dolly with raised deck and drawbar for KLT containers
The container reaches the line already at the right height: a raised deck so you can pick without bending, and a drawbar with Easy Lock hook for travelling in the tugger train. 600x400 mm format, 100 mm castors, load up to 70 kg: designed for kits and light components.
Why choose it
Ergonomic picking
The raised deck brings the containers to hand height: the operator picks without bending and without lifters.
Hitches into the train
Drawbar and Easy Lock hook as on the Type VII B: the pin locks by itself, using poka-yoke logic.
From the train to the workstation
The same dolly makes the journey and stays at the line as stock: you swap the empty for the full one, without transferring.
Kits and light components
It carries one 600x400 stack, two 300x400 stacks or four 300x200, up to 70 kg: ideal for kitting and small parts.
Choose it if…
- You want containers to reach the workstation already at gripping height.
- You supply the lines with a milk run of kits or light components.
- The load per dolly stays within 70 kg.
- You want to eliminate lifters and lifting at the line side.
Choose another solution if…
- The load exceeds 70 kg, up to 250 kg per dolly: Dolly Type VII B →
- You need the raised deck without drawbar, also with ESD castors: Dolly Type I →
- You want pallets and heavy loads at a more comfortable height: Raised Dolly Pallet →

Where it works
The VII C combines transport and ergonomics: the dolly that arrives with the train is already the picking point.
- Kitting: the kit prepared in the warehouse reaches the workstation at hand height
- Assembly: small parts and light components always within reach, without bending
- Milk run: the same dolly travels hitched in the train and stays at the line as stock
- Automotive and components: trays and small KLT containers
Less back bending and less handling: ergonomics and flow improve together.
600x400 dollies: Type I, II, VII B and VII C compared
Type I
2 swivel and 2 fixed castors, no drawbar: holds its direction and is pushed by hand. 250 kg, also 600x500 and with raised deck.
View product →Type II
4 swivel castors, no drawbar: turns on the spot and moves in any direction in tight spaces. 250 kg, also 600x500.
View product →Type VII B
Like the Type I, with sliding drawbar and Easy Lock hook: hitches in a convoy. 250 kg, up to 1000 kg in the train.
View product →Type VII C
Drawbar, Easy Lock hook and raised deck: containers travel in the train and reach the line already at gripping height. Up to 70 kg.
All have 100 mm castors and a galvanised steel structure, and are stackable when empty. They are compatible with the Lean Adaptor Pallet for storage and shipping.
In the tugger train
The VII C hitches like the other dollies with drawbar:
Easy Lock
Bring the drawbar into the hook area and the pin locks automatically.
Loads and speed
Up to 1000 kg in the train, 7–8 dollies, recommended maximum speed 4 km/h.
Coupling to tow vehicle
The Milkrun Drawbar fits on the tow vehicle and carries one or two rows of 600x400 dollies.
View product →With the raised deck the centre of gravity is higher: that is why the recommended speed is lower than with low-deck dollies.

They all have a 600x400 deck (Type I, II and VII B also 600x500) and 100 mm castors. The Type I has 2 swivel and 2 fixed castors and no drawbar: it runs straight and is pushed by hand. The Type II has 4 swivel castors: it turns on the spot and is handy in tight spaces. The Type VII B is like the Type I but with a sliding drawbar and Easy Lock hook, for hitching several dollies in a convoy. The Type VII C adds the raised deck to the drawbar: containers reach the line at gripping height; it carries up to 70 kg, the others 250 kg.
Each dolly has a sliding drawbar at the front and a hook at the rear. To hitch it, just bring the drawbar into the hook area: the pin locks automatically, poka-yoke style, with no tools and no need to line up a hole. It is a patented K.Hartwall system.
Because the container already arrives at hand height: the operator picks without bending towards the floor and without a lifter at the line side. The VII C also makes the journey, hitched in the train: material goes from the warehouse to the workstation without being moved by hand.
Up to 70 kg: it is designed for kits, small parts and light components. In the train, VII C dollies reach 1000 kg in total. For heavier stacks of containers, up to 250 kg per dolly, choose the low-deck Type VII B.
With the Milkrun Drawbar, which fits on the tow vehicle and tows one or two rows of 600x400 dollies or one row of Dolly 800x600. On request there is also the coupling for having one or two rows of Dolly VII and 800x600 towed by a Dolly Pallet. We help you choose based on the tow vehicle you have.
The recommended maximum speed is 4 km/h: with the raised deck the load sits higher and the train must be driven more cautiously. In trains with only low-deck dollies, speeds of up to 6 km/h are possible.
The train is released with the quick pedal release: the operator frees it with their foot, without bending down. Dollies with the Easy Lock system, such as Dolly Type VII, hitch to each other by resting the drawbar in the hook area: the pin locks by itself, without errors.
Polyamide (PA) is the standard castor: hard and smooth-rolling, it suits smooth industrial floors. Elastic rubber is softer and quieter and is kind to delicate floors. ESD polyamide dissipates electrostatic charges and is needed in areas where electronic components are handled. On request there are also ESD rubber, polyurethane, ESD polyurethane and Clean wheel. All have ball bearings.
Yes, up to 3 dollies in 1955 mm of height. Low-deck dollies (Type I, II and VII B), on the other hand, reach 15 units.
With the Lean Adaptor Pallet, the steel pallet for dollies: it carries 4 600x400 dollies, or 2 800x600 dollies, 1 800x600 and 2 600x400 dollies, or one 1200x800 dolly, up to 1000 kg. You move it with the forklift from the long and the short side and load it onto the truck; on arrival the dollies come off the pallet without lifting them.
Yes. We start from what you move (containers, sizes and weights), the routes and the floors: we propose the type of dolly, castors, drawbar and accessories and how to build the train with the tow vehicles you have. With LeanProducts you have a single point of contact for spare parts and support too.
