GF-N T reinforced profile: stiffer Ø 28 mm pipe for loaded cross members
Same diameter as the GF-N pipe, reinforced inner wall: about 1.5 times more resistant to bending. Use it instead of the standard pipe where a cross member or upright works harder, without changing outer connectors or dimensions. The end can be threaded M8 to screw in levelling feet.
Why choose it
Stiffer, same footprint
28 mm outside diameter: you replace a standard pipe without changing the structure design.
Same outer connectors
It connects with GF-N outer connectors, just like the standard pipe.
Feet at the end
The end is threaded M8: you screw in a levelling foot without a threaded insert.
Targeted reinforcement
You put it only where needed and keep the lighter standard pipe in the rest of the structure.
Choose it if…
- A cross member or upright bends too much but you want to stay with the 28 diameter.
- You want to screw M8 feet directly into the end of the pipe.
- Moderate reinforcement is enough, about 1.5 times the standard pipe.
Choose another solution if…
- You need much more stiffness on the cross member (about 10 times): GF-N W profile →
- The joint takes continuous impacts: GF-N Hard profile →
- The pipe also has to accept flush inner connectors: GF-N profile →

Application example
The T is used where a standard pipe would be working at its limit:
- Shelf cross members on more heavily loaded workstations and shelving
- Uprights with levelling feet screwed into the end
- Trolley frames that need to bend less
What you assemble it with
With the T use GF-N outer connectors: they are the same as for the standard pipe.
When to use it
The figures to help you decide:
Over a 1000 mm span
Takes 289 N at mid-span with 5 mm of deflection, against 195 N for the standard pipe.
Over a 500 mm span
Takes 1155 N at mid-span with 5 mm of deflection, against 779 N for the standard pipe.
Instead of the standard pipe
Same diameter and same outer connectors: you only change the profile code.
Beyond these values, move to the GF-N W mounted upright or to the GF-G series.
The LeanProducts service
From drawing to finished structure, with a single point of contact:
Design and load calculation
We start from your sketch or dimensions: we choose profiles and connectors and check spans, joints and loads.
Cut to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in the design, ready to assemble.
Kit or assembled structure
You receive the kit with the cut parts and the list of components, or the structure already assembled.
Spare parts and modifications
When the process changes we supply components and new cuts to modify or extend the structure.
Send us a sketch, a photo or the overall dimensions: we will reply with codes, quantities and cut lengths.

On the outside they are identical, Ø 28 mm. The T has a reinforced inner wall: it weighs 0.79 kg/m instead of 0.37 and is about 1.5 times more resistant to bending. Over a 1000 mm span it takes 289 N at mid-span against 195 N, at the same deflection.
In terms of stiffness they are close: the T is about 1.5 times the standard pipe, the Hard about 1.7. The Hard is designed for joints that take continuous impacts and has its own dedicated inner connector, end cap and threaded insert for feet; the T has an M8 thread at the end for feet. Choose according to where the pipe goes.
Yes: the end of the T is threaded M8 to a depth of 24 mm and the levelling foot screws in directly, without a threaded insert. Let us know with your cutting order.
GF-N outer connectors, the same as for the standard pipe. To close the end there is the dedicated inner end cap GFA-410 or the outer end cap GFA-401.
When a cross member or upright is working at its limit but you do not want to change diameter or dimensions: more heavily loaded shelves, uprights with screwed-in feet, trolley frames. You put it only where needed; the rest stays in standard pipe.
Move to the GF-N W mounted upright: over a 1000 mm span it takes about 1950 N at mid-span with 5 mm of deflection, almost seven times the T. For heavily loaded uprights use the GF-G Ø 43 series.
The standard GF-N profile is suitable for most uprights and cross members. If a cross member is long or loaded use the GF-N W fitted upright (about 10 times stiffer), or the T (about 1.5 times) or the Hard (about 1.7 times, also for joints that take impacts), which have the same diameter. To fix plate castors, panels or rollers with T-nuts choose the profile with C10 slot; F35 and F50 have a flat flange for labels, small parts holders and supports. The sliding profile has a smooth surface for sliding parts and boxes, the round roller profile becomes a roller with the pin connectors, LS and LS with S slot carry a linear slide and the linear guide profile is the track for the linear rollers.
The GF-N Ø 28 is the standard for workstations, flow racks and trolleys. The GF-S Ø 19 weighs about half as much (0.20 kg/m versus 0.37) and is for light frames, dividers, guards and small mechanisms. The GF-G Ø 43 is for uprights and cross members that have to carry a lot: over a 1000 mm span it supports 851 N at the centre versus 195 N for the GF-N, for the same deflection. It is often worth mixing them, for example GF-G uprights and GF-N cross members joined by mixed connectors.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
