T-connector - connectors for aluminium strut profiles
The T-connector joins at 90° a profile that butts against the side of another, for example a cross member on the upright of a bench or frame, with no visible brackets. It comes as a set with fastening hardware and, from 40x40 upwards, requires no profile machining. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component, in standard or designLINE silver-lacquered version.
Why choose it
Compact joint
The connection stays within the profile section, with no brackets protruding at the sides.
High load capacity
From 4000 N and 80 Nm on the 30x30 up to 9000–10000 N and 150–200 Nm on the 40, 45 and 50 sections.
Little machining
None on 40x40, 45x45 and 50x50; on the 30x30 only the M8 thread in the central hole.
designLINE version
Silver RAL 9006 lacquer for visible machines and workstations, on 30x30 and 45x45.
Choose it if…
- You want a compact, rigid 90° connection without visible brackets
- You work with 30x30, 40x40, 45x45 or 50x50 profiles
- The joint must carry more than an bracket
- You need a silver finish for visible structures
Choose another solution if…
- The joint must remain adjustable along the slot: Bracket →
- You need to close a corner with two or three profiles: Cubic connector, without screws and cover caps →
- You need a 45° connection: 45° connector →

45° connector
For bracing and inclined connections.
Profile connector
Joins two profiles end to end.
Choose the connector of the same section as the profiles.

The QV set holds 1000 N, but it is not designed for bending of the joint. If the crossbar is cantilevered or carries side loads, use a T-connector or a bolt connector.
On 40x40, 45x45 and 50x50 no. On the 30x30 the central hole of the butting profile must be tapped M8, because the set's M8x30 screw goes there. Send us the dimensions and we will prepare the profiles already cut.
The S12x30 self-tapping screw is screwed into the central hole of the butting profile, without tapping, and tightened to 35 Nm. The two M6 screws are fixed in the slot of the other profile at 10 Nm.
On the 30x30 4000 N and 80 Nm, on the 40x40 9000 N and 150 Nm, on the 45x45 9000 N and 200 Nm, on the 50x50 10000 N and 170 Nm. These are static limit values: apply your own safety factors.
The T-connector stays within the section and carries more: on the 45x45 it holds 9000 N and 200 Nm, the 45x45 bracket 3000 N. The bracket, however, can be fitted and moved along the slot without touching the profile end.
The T-connector needs no holes on profiles 40, 45 and 50 and reaches 9000 N on the 45x45. The bolt connector needs the through hole, but also withstands torsion, fits in a closed frame and covers profiles up to 100.
Only the finish: designLINE is lacquered silver RAL 9006 for visible structures, with the same load capacities. Available for 30x30 and 45x45.
The T-connector joins a profile to the side of another, even at mid-length. The cubic connector closes corners, where profiles end: two profiles at an angle or three at a corner.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
