AL Modular System · C10 profiles
Aluminium strut profile 100x200L - heavy profile for machine bases and gantries
The 100x200L is the largest profile in the 100 family of the Bosch Rexroth aluminium modular system: 100 x 200 mm section, twelve C10 slots and a moment of inertia of 2133.1 cm⁴ mounted upright. You use it for machine bases, gantries, lifting beams and frames that must stay rigid over long spans. You receive it as a full bar or cut to length and connect it with brackets, nuts and cover caps for slot C10.
Why choose it
Rigid over long spans
Ix 2133.1 cm⁴: about 6.7 times the 100x100L and over 50% more than the 90x180L.
Twelve C10 slots
10 mm slots all around the perimeter: fix guides, brackets, panels and accessories wherever you need them.
Torsionally stiff
It 421.00 cm⁴: suitable for gantries and beams with off-axis loads.
Bar or cut to length
Full bar of 6070 mm or piece cut to length in our workshop, from 50 mm upwards.
Choose it if…
- You build machine bases, gantries or long-span beams.
- You need a very rigid beam, without welding.
- You want to fix guides and accessories on several slots along the beam.
- The structure already uses accessories with slot C10.
Choose another solution if…
- The span is shorter or weight matters: Aluminium strut profile 90x180L →
- You need a square section from the same family: Aluminium strut profile 100x100L →
- A 45 mm wide profile is enough for you: Aluminium strut profile 45x180 →

The LeanProducts service
From parts list to ready-to-assemble kit, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in your parts list.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from your parts list or a sketch: we check profiles, brackets, nuts and cover caps for every slot and every joint.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply the same original components.
Send us your parts list or a photo of the structure: we will reply with codes, quantities and cutting lengths.

With the 200 mm side in the direction of the load: Ix 2133.1 cm⁴ versus Iy 602.1 cm⁴ when flat, over three times stiffer. You use it flat when you need a wide supporting base, for example for guides or plates.
As a rough calculation, with 10 000 N concentrated at the centre of a simply supported 3000 mm beam, the deflection is about 3.8 mm mounted upright and about 13 mm flat, excluding self-weight. In the real structure, joints and supports matter: send us the layout and loads.
Two 100x100 cover caps side by side, in signal grey PP or black ESD: they are the same as for the 100x100L profile.
The bracket in size 100x100 for slot C10, with screws and nuts or on its own if you already have the small parts.
The static limit of the slot with an M8 T-nut is 7000 N, as for the other L profiles with slot C10. If the load is higher, spread it over several nuts or several slots.
The 90x180L weighs 11.6 kg/m and has Ix 1380.0 cm⁴; the 100x200L weighs 14.6 kg/m and reaches 2133.1 cm⁴, over 50% stiffer. Choose the 100x200L for longer spans or higher loads, the 90x180L if weight matters.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
