Grooved plate 30x100 M – modular plate profile with slot C8
The grooved plate 30x100 M is the centre module of slotted tables: place it next to other M plates and close the sides with the 30x100 L/R. The slots are at 25 mm pitch and work with slot C8 connection technology, so you can fix components, fixtures and test set-ups at many points on the table. The plates are joined together with plastic sliding blocks, three per metre. Order it as a 5600 mm bar or cut to length from 100 mm.
Why choose it
Tables of any width
Place as many modules side by side as you need: each plate adds 100 mm of slotted surface.
Closely spaced slots
Slots at 25 mm pitch: fix components and equipment on a regular grid, without drilling the table.
Slot C8 accessories
Use nuts, screws and connectors for the 8 mm slot, the same as for the 30 series profiles.
Bar or cut to size
5600 mm full bar or cut to your dimensions, from 100 mm upwards.
Choose it if…
- You need a slotted table for tests, fixtures or equipment that will be reconfigured.
- You want to fix components at many points, on a regular grid.
- The table width is not standard and you want to build it from 100 mm modules.
- You work with 8 mm slot accessories.
Choose another solution if…
- You need the edge plate, with side slot facing outwards: Grooved plate 30x100 L/R →
- You need the load-bearing frame in slot C8: Aluminium strut profile 30x30 →
- You need a wide one-piece profile with slot C8: Aluminium strut profile 30x120 →

To build the table
Work out the sliding blocks: three for every metre of joint between two plates.
How the table is built
Three things to know about the 30x100 M plate:
Modules side by side
Put the M plates in the centre and the L/R plates at the two edges, with the side slot facing outwards.
Joining sliding blocks
The plates are connected with polyamide sliding blocks: three per metre of length.
8.9 mm slot
The slot measures 8.9 mm and works with 8 mm slot connection technology.

The LeanProducts service
From the bill of materials to ready-to-assemble profiles, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths on your bill of materials: full bar or pieces cut to length.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from the bill of materials or a sketch: we check profiles, connections, nuts and cover caps for every joint.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply profiles and components from the same system.
Send us a sketch with the overall dimensions: we reply with codes, accessories and cut lengths.

Usually both. The M is the centre module and sits next to other M plates; the L/R also has a side 8 mm slot and closes the table on both edges. For a 400 mm wide table, for example, use two M in the centre and two L/R at the sides.
With the plastic sliding blocks dedicated to the grooved plate 30x100: you need three for every metre of profile length.
Those for the 8 mm slot: the plate slot measures 8.9 mm and is designed for slot C8 connection technology, like the 30 series profiles.
The width increases in 100 mm steps, one for each plate you add. The length goes up to 5600 mm in one piece, or cut to length from 100 mm upwards.
On a frame of 30 series profiles, such as the 30x30, which uses the same slot C8 connection technology. Send us the table dimensions and we'll recommend profiles and connections.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
