It is pushed by hand; for the tugger train there is the Type VII B with drawbar.
Deck 600×400 or 600×500 mm, capacity 250 kg, 2 swivel and 2 fixed Ø 100 mm wheels in polyamide, rubber or ESD polyamide. Stackable when empty: 15 dollies in 1950 mm. The 600×400 size also comes with a raised deck.
Lean Logistic · Container dollies
Dolly Type I: dolly for 600x400 and 600x500 KLT containers, 250 kg
The wheeled base for crates and KLT containers: put the stack of containers on the dolly and take it from the warehouse to the line without lifting it. 600x400 or 600x500 mm deck, 250 kg capacity, 2 swivel and 2 fixed 100 mm castors in polyamide, rubber or ESD polyamide. Stackable when empty: 15 dollies in less than 2 metres.
Why choose it
Containers already on wheels
The stack stays on the dolly from goods-in to the line: no transferring and no lifting from the floor. It carries one 600x400 stack, two 300x400 stacks or four 300x200.
Holds its direction
With 2 fixed and 2 swivel castors the dolly runs straight along long aisles and is easy to steer by hand.
Stackable when empty
15 empty dollies in 1950 mm of height: returning empties and storage take up little space.
Also ready for external transport
With the Lean Adaptor Pallet you move four at a time with the forklift or on the truck; on arrival the dollies come off the pallet without lifting them.
Choose it if…
- You move stacks of 600x400 or 600x500 KLT containers between warehouse, supermarket and line.
- You push the dolly by hand, or load it onto a Taxi Liner or Adaptor Pallet, without hitching it in a convoy.
- You need a dolly that runs straight along aisles: the 2 fixed castors guide it.
- You work with electronic components: there is a version with ESD polyamide castors.
- You want the raised deck so you can pick without bending (600x400 format).
Choose another solution if…
- You need a dolly that turns on the spot, with 4 swivel castors: Dolly Type II →
- You want to hitch several dollies in a convoy behind a tow vehicle: Dolly Type VII B →
- You need a raised deck and drawbar for the tugger train: Dolly Type VII C →
- You carry 800x600 containers or 800x600 pallets: Dolly 800x600 →

Where it works
The Dolly Type I is the foundation of lean logistics for containers: the material always travels on the same unit, from the supplier to the point of use.
- Goods-in and warehouse: dollies arrive loaded on Adaptor Pallets and are stored without breaking down the stacks
- Supermarket and line side: the dolly with the KLTs stays at the workstation as stock and is swapped for a full one, using kanban logic
- Assembly workstations: with a container lifter you bring the dolly to gripping height
- Automotive and components: it was born for the KLT crates and trays of the automotive sector
- Electronics: with ESD castors in electrostatic protected areas
Less manual transport and less lifting: it is the first step towards eliminating handling waste between warehouse and line.
600x400 dollies: Type I, II, VII B and VII C compared
Type I
2 swivel and 2 fixed castors, no drawbar: holds its direction and is pushed by hand. 250 kg, also 600x500 and with raised deck.
Type II
4 swivel castors, no drawbar: turns on the spot and moves in any direction in tight spaces. 250 kg, also 600x500.
View product →Type VII B
Like the Type I, with sliding drawbar and Easy Lock hook: hitches in a convoy. 250 kg, up to 1000 kg in the train.
View product →Type VII C
Drawbar, Easy Lock hook and raised deck: containers travel in the train and reach the line already at gripping height. Up to 70 kg.
View product →All have 100 mm castors and a galvanised steel structure, and are stackable when empty. They are compatible with the Lean Adaptor Pallet for storage and shipping.
100 mm castors: polyamide, rubber or ESD
All castors have ball bearings and protective caps: they roll with little effort and last a long time. You choose the material according to floor and environment:
Polyamide (PA)
Hard and smooth-rolling: the standard castor for smooth industrial floors, resin or concrete.
Elastic rubber
Softer: absorbs unevenness, is quieter and is kind to delicate floors.
ESD polyamide
Dissipates electrostatic charges: for protected areas where electronic components are handled.
Special versions
On request: ESD rubber, polyurethane, ESD polyurethane and Clean wheel; brake on one or two swivel castors.

They all have a 600x400 deck (Type I, II and VII B also 600x500) and 100 mm castors. The Type I has 2 swivel and 2 fixed castors and no drawbar: it runs straight and is pushed by hand. The Type II has 4 swivel castors: it turns on the spot and is handy in tight spaces. The Type VII B is like the Type I but with a sliding drawbar and Easy Lock hook, for hitching several dollies in a convoy. The Type VII C adds the raised deck to the drawbar: containers reach the line at gripping height; it carries up to 70 kg, the others 250 kg.
On the 1200 × 800 mm format: 4 dollies 600 × 400, 2 dollies 800 × 600, 2 dollies 600 × 400 plus 1 dolly 800 × 600, or 1 dolly 1200 × 800. The maximum load is 1000 kg per Adaptor Pallet. For the ISO 1200 × 1000 mm format we confirm the combination based on your dollies.
One stack of 600x400 KLT containers, two 300x400 stacks or four 300x200 stacks. The 600x500 dolly is for containers and trays with a 600x500 base. For 800x600 stacks or two 600x400 stacks side by side there is the Dolly 800x600.
No, the Type I has no drawbar: you push it by hand, pull it with the ergonomic handle or load it onto a Taxi Liner or a Lean Adaptor Pallet. If you want to hitch dollies one behind the other, choose the Type VII B, which has a sliding drawbar and Easy Lock hook, or the VII C with raised deck.
It is the 600x400 Type I with the deck raised: containers already travel at hand height and the operator picks without bending. It is available with polyamide castors (LP-KD110) or ESD polyamide castors (LP-KD111). We confirm the height and capacity of the raised deck in the quote, based on your containers.
It depends on the base of your containers. 600x400 is the most common KLT container format in Europe; 600x500 is the ISO format. Type I, Type II and VII B are available in both formats, with the same 250 kg capacity.
Polyamide (PA) is the standard castor: hard and smooth-rolling, it suits smooth industrial floors. Elastic rubber is softer and quieter and is kind to delicate floors. ESD polyamide dissipates electrostatic charges and is needed in areas where electronic components are handled. On request there are also ESD rubber, polyurethane, ESD polyurethane and Clean wheel. All have ball bearings.
The 600x400 Type I, II and VII B dollies stack up to 15 units in about 1950 mm. The Dolly 800x600 and 1200x800 also reach 15 units in 1955 mm, 2300 mm in the versions with drawbar. The Type VII C, with its raised deck, stacks up to 3 units. This way returning empties takes up little space on the train and in the warehouse.
With the Lean Adaptor Pallet, the steel pallet for dollies: it carries 4 600x400 dollies, or 2 800x600 dollies, 1 800x600 and 2 600x400 dollies, or one 1200x800 dolly, up to 1000 kg. You move it with the forklift from the long and the short side and load it onto the truck; on arrival the dollies come off the pallet without lifting them.
Not in the standard version. On request, the brake is fitted on one or two swivel castors: useful if the dolly stands at the workstation on a sloping floor or if you often load and unload it at the line side.
The retaining corner kit, riveted to the corners, holds the stack during transport. The plastic tray goes under the containers and catches drips. The ergonomic handle is for pulling the dolly by hand without bending. For storage and shipping there is the Lean Adaptor Pallet.
Yes.
