Drilling jig - template for holes in C6, C8, C10 profiles
When you prepare profiles in the workshop, the drilling jig lets you make the standard connector holes in the right spot: you fix it on the profile, the stop surfaces and edges position it and the hole is always in the same position. There are versions for slot C6, C8 and C10, one for diagonally cut profiles with bendable connectors and two EcoSafe templates for 22.5x45 guard frames. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component.
Why choose it
Holes in the right spot
Stop surfaces and edges position the template on the profile.
Adjustable
Adapts to the standard holes of the connector system.
One template for each connector
Through holes for Torx screws and seating holes for quick connectors, bolt connectors and threaded bushes.
Also for EcoSafe
Templates for connecting the 22.5x45 frame profile to the support profiles and for the corners of guard frames.
Choose it if…
- You drill the connector holes in the profiles yourself
- You use quick connectors, bolt connectors or central bolts
- You install EcoSafe safety fences
- You want repeatable holes on many profiles
Choose another solution if…
- You prefer a connector mounted in the slots, with no holes: T-connector →
- You need the key for the central bolts: Torx offset screwdriver →
- You need the connector to mount in the hole: Quick connector 0° →

Connectors that use these holes
Choose the template based on the slot and the connector you are mounting.

Through holes are needed to reach the set screws with the screwdriver: Ø 4.5 mm in the 20x20, Ø 8.5 mm in the 30x30, Ø 10.5 mm in the 40x40, 45x45 and 50x50 profiles. The drilling jig helps you make them in the right position.
Start from the profile slot: C6, C8 or C10. For slot C10 choose the module: 45/60 for 45 and 60 series profiles, 40/50 for the 40 and 50 series. If the profiles are cut diagonally use the dedicated version; for EcoSafe 22.5x45 frames the DF and PG templates.
Yes: the EcoSafe DF jig, one of the drilling jig versions, positions the drill on the profile with stop faces and edges, so the hole is always in the same place.
A blind or through D8 hole near the end of the profile, where the bush goes. The drilling jig helps you make it in the right position.
A transverse through hole in the profile being crossed: D11 for the D11x30, D17 for the D17 versions. You can make it with the drilling jig.
A blind or through hole for the bush, near the end of the profile: D11 in the 8/8 and 8/10 versions, D17 or D9.8 in the 10/10. The hole axis is 18 mm from the end on profiles with slot C8 and 22.5 mm on those with slot C10. With the drilling jig you can make it in the right position, even in the workshop.
Through holes for the screwdriver of the Torx screws (Ø 5.8 for T25, Ø 7.8 for T40, Ø 9.8 for T50) and seating holes for quick connectors (Ø 8, Ø 11, Ø 17). In slot C10 also Ø 17 for bolt connectors and threaded bushes and, in the 45/60 module, the Ø 21 countersink for pneumatic fittings.
The M12 thread in the central bore and two blind holes, Ø 9.8 and Ø 21 mm, made with the drilling jig for slot C10 module 45/60. Send us the parts list and we will tell you what to allow for.
It makes the seating hole for the bendable quick connector, which joins obliquely cut profiles: Ø 11 in slot C8, Ø 17 in slot C10.
Yes, a Ø 17 through hole is needed for the bolt connectors included in the delivery. To make it in the right position there is the drilling jig for slot C10.
A Ø 17 through hole, which takes the bolt connectors included in the set. The drilling jig for slot C10 helps you make it in the right position.
They are templates for EcoSafe safety fences with the 22.5x45 frame profile. The DF makes the Ø 5.5–9.5 step hole for fixing the frame on a 45x45(L) support profile, together with the DF step drill. The PG prepares the corner connector of guard frames and works with standard DIN 1897 step drills.
The versions for standard slot C8 and C10 are in galvanized steel; those for slot C6 and for diagonally cut profiles in aluminium. The EcoSafe ones have an anodized aluminium body and a hardened steel drill bush.
For Torx screws use the angle key of the same size: T25 in slot C6, T40 in C8, T50 in C10. It reaches the screw through the through hole.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
