Slot connector - connectors for profiles with slot C8 and C10
The slot connector is made for fast assembly: slide it into the slot, bring it to the connection point and tighten the screws, which remain easily accessible. The set screw is already fitted and no holes or threads are needed in the profiles. In the 10/10 and 8/10 versions you can remove the anti-torsion element and orient the connection as you need. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component, with conductive connection for ESD areas.
Why choose it
Fast assembly
Pre-assembled set screw and easily accessible screws: position it and tighten it.
No machining
No holes or threads needed: cut-to-length profiles are fine.
Variable orientation
In the 10/10 and 8/10 versions, remove the anti-torsion element and orient the connection.
Joins C8 and C10
The 8/10 version connects a profile with slot C8 to one with slot C10.
Choose it if…
- You want to assemble quickly, without machining the profiles
- You need to join a C8 profile to a C10 one
- You need to orient the connection (10/10 and 8/10 versions)
- You work in an ESD area
Choose another solution if…
- You need more load capacity in slot C10 and the slots free for panels: Tensioning connector →
- You want a joint with no visible parts up to 4000 N: Quick connector 0° →
- You want to join two profiles side by side: Parallel connector →

The LeanProducts service
From parts list to ready-to-assemble kit, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in your parts list.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from the parts list or a sketch: we check connectors, fittings, nuts and cover caps for every joint and every slot.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply the same original components.
Send us the parts list or a photo of the structure: we reply with codes and quantities.

8/8 if both profiles have slot C8, 10/10 if both have slot C10, 8/10 to join a profile with slot C8 to one with slot C10. The 10/10 holds three times as much: 3000 N versus 1000 N.
It prevents the connector from rotating in the slot. In the 10/10 and 8/10 versions you can remove it when you want to orient the connection differently.
Both require no machining and in slot C8 they hold the same, 1000 N. In slot C10 the tensioning connector carries more (3500 N versus 3000 N) and leaves the other three slots free; the slot connector also has the mixed C8/C10 version and, with the anti-torsion element removed, can be oriented as you like.
Both require no machining and in slot C8 they hold 1000 N. In slot C10 the tensioning connector carries more (3500 N versus 3000 N) and leaves the other three slots free; the slot connector has the mixed C8/C10 version and variable orientation.
The 10/10 version holds 3000 N and 110 Nm, the 8/8 and 8/10 versions 1000 N and 35 Nm. These are static limit values: apply your own safety factors.
In the 8/8 and 8/10 versions: 2.5 Nm for the M4 screw and 10 Nm for the M8 screw. In the 10/10 version the M6 screw is tightened to 7 Nm.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
