T-bolt - screw for profiles with slot C8 and C10
The T-bolt is the quickest fastener for slotted profiles: the head enters the slot from the front, exactly where you need it, and locks under the slot lips when turned. Slide the part onto the thread and lock it with the flange nut, without removing the profile. The notch on the end of the screw shows you how the head is oriented. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component, in conductive zinc-plated steel.
Why choose it
Fits where you need it
It enters the slot from the front, even on a closed frame: no profiles to remove.
Visible position
The notch on the end shows the head orientation: check at a glance that it is properly engaged.
Clear load capacity
4000 N in slot C8; in slot C10 from 6000 to 18000 N depending on the profile.
Conductive connection
Zinc-plated steel: with the flange nut the connection is secure and conductive, suitable for ESD areas.
Choose it if…
- You need to fasten angles, brackets or drilled plates to the profile slot
- You want to fit the part even on an already closed frame
- You work with profiles with slot C8 or C10
- You need a conductive fastening for ESD areas
Choose another solution if…
- You want the thread inside the slot and the screw from the outside: T-nut →
- You need a threaded element to insert from the end of the profile: Standard sliding block →
- You need to fasten an bracket with slot C10: Collar screw M8 for brackets →
Not sure which profile to choose? Open the guide with the profile table →
Complete the fastening
Screw and nut are chosen according to the profile slot.

M8x20 T-bolts for slot C10 and M8 flange nuts, to be ordered separately. The 103x103x37 version already includes the fastening material.
On the 45x45 or 45x45L profile with two M8x25 T-bolts and two M8 flange nuts. On the 22.5x45 frame profile with one 5.5x45 self-tapping screw, one M6x20 T-bolt and one flange nut. No machining needed.
Add the thickness of the part to be fastened to the height of the flange nut: the thread must engage the whole nut. For example, the sheet metal angle and the bracket are fastened with the M8x20, the 120x120 base plate with the M8x30.
The flange nut: M6 for the screw in slot C8, M8 for the screw in slot C10. The collar rests on the part being fastened.
With the screw, the thread protrudes from the slot: slide on the drilled part and lock it with a nut from the outside, handy for angles, brackets and plates. With the T-nut, the thread stays in the slot and you fasten the part with a screw from the outside.
It is the profile slot that gives way, not the screw: in light profiles the capacity is lower, in solid, large ones it is higher. Tell us the cross-section and we will give you the value.
It shows how the hammer head is oriented inside the slot. After turning it, check the notch: if it is in the right position, the head is engaged under the slot lips and you can tighten the nut.
With accessories that have a through hole: sheet metal angles, brackets, base plates, mounting brackets. The screw goes into the slot, the part slides onto the thread and is closed with the flange nut.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
