GF-S W profile: twin Ø 19 mm pipe for light, stiff cross members
Two Ø 19 mm pipes joined into a 44 mm wide profile. Mounted upright it has a moment of inertia of 2.87 × 10⁴ mm⁴, more than ten times a single GF-S and more than twice the GF-N pipe: it is the stiff cross member of the light series. It weighs 0.41 kg/m.
Why choose it
Stiff upright
One pipe above the other: moment of inertia more than ten times a single GF-S.
Lightweight
0.41 kg/m, almost the same as a GF-N pipe, but stiffer upright.
Thin
Each pipe is Ø 19: stiff cross members with compact dimensions.
In the GF-S series
The ends are closed with standard GF-S end caps.
Choose it if…
- You need a stiff cross member in a GF-S structure.
- You want more stiffness than the GF-N pipe for little more than its weight.
- The cross member must stay slim.
Choose another solution if…
- The cross member carries workstation loads: twin Ø 28 pipe: GF-N W profile →
- A single, stiffer Ø 19 pipe is enough: GF-S Hard profile →
- You need a plain Ø 19 pipe: GF-S profile →

Application example
The GF-S W is used as a cross member in light structures:
- Cross members of small workbenches and supports
- Frames for guards and light panels
- Light shelves with longer spans than a single GF-S
Upright or flat
Always mount it upright where it has to carry a load:
Upright
Moment of inertia 2.87 × 10⁴ mm⁴, section modulus 1.30 × 10³ mm³.
Flat
0.53 × 10⁴ mm⁴: about twice a single GF-S pipe.
Joints
We will specify the GF-S connectors to join it to the uprights.
For workstation or shelving loads, move to the GF-N W, which has a dedicated 1000 N connector.
The LeanProducts service
From drawing to finished structure, with a single point of contact:
Design and load calculation
We start from your sketch or dimensions: we choose profiles and connectors and check spans, joints and loads.
Cut to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in the design, ready to assemble.
Kit or assembled structure
You receive the kit with the cut parts and the list of components, or the structure already assembled.
Spare parts and modifications
When the process changes we supply components and new cuts to modify or extend the structure.
Send us a sketch, a photo or the overall dimensions: we will reply with codes, quantities and cut lengths.

Upright, with one pipe above the other: this way the moment of inertia is 2.87 × 10⁴ mm⁴, more than ten times a single GF-S. Flat it is worth about twice a single pipe.
Upright, yes: 2.87 against 1.16 × 10⁴ mm⁴, with a similar weight (0.41 against 0.37 kg/m). GF-N, however, has the widest range of connectors, feet and accessories.
The GF-N W joins two Ø 28 pipes: 65 mm high, 11.66 × 10⁴ mm⁴ upright, 0.79 kg/m, with a dedicated connector. It is for loaded shelves and cross members. The GF-S W is the light, slim version, for GF-S structures.
GF-S Ø 19 series connectors: we will confirm the models when we prepare the component list.
With the GF-S inner end cap GFA-403 on each of the two pipes, the same as for the standard GF-S.
As a stiff cross member in small workbenches, supports, guards and frames for light panels, where a single GF-S would bend too much.
The GF-S profile is the basic Ø 19 pipe. The one with C6 slot adds a slot for slot nuts, hooks and accessories. The Hard has a thick wall, almost double the moment of inertia and an M8 threadable end for feet. The W joins two pipes into a 44 mm wide profile, more than 10 times stiffer when mounted upright. F35 and F22 have a flat flange for labels, tags and light supports.
The GF-N Ø 28 is the standard for workstations, flow racks and trolleys. The GF-S Ø 19 weighs about half as much (0.20 kg/m versus 0.37) and is for light frames, dividers, guards and small mechanisms. The GF-G Ø 43 is for uprights and cross members that have to carry a lot: over a 1000 mm span it supports 851 N at the centre versus 195 N for the GF-N, for the same deflection. It is often worth mixing them, for example GF-G uprights and GF-N cross members joined by mixed connectors.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
