GF-S Hard profile: high-strength Ø 19 mm pipe
The high-strength version of the GF-S pipe: same 19 mm diameter, thick wall and a central bore that can be threaded M8 at the end to screw in levelling feet. It weighs 0.56 kg/m and has almost double the moment of inertia of the standard GF-S.
Why choose it
Stiffer in the same diameter
Almost double the moment of inertia of GF-S, without changing size.
Screw-in feet
The end is threaded M8: you screw in levelling feet without a threaded insert.
Light legs
Suitable for legs and uprights of small GF-S structures, with the foot screwed in directly.
In the GF-S series
Same diameter as GF-S: you use it only where needed.
Choose it if…
- A Ø 19 leg or upright needs to be stiffer.
- You want to screw an M8 foot directly into the pipe.
- You want to stay with the 19 mm diameter.
Choose another solution if…
- The standard light pipe is enough: GF-S profile →
- You need more stiffness, with a 44 mm wide twin Ø 19 pipe: GF-S W profile →
- The load calls for a Ø 28 pipe: GF-N profile →

Application example
The GF-S Hard is used at the most stressed points of light structures:
- Legs of small workbenches and supports, with M8 foot at the end
- Uprights of GF-S frames that carry accessories
- Mechanism parts that must bend little
How you use it
Where the Hard is really needed:
Thread the end
At the end, the central bore is threaded M8: you screw in levelling feet and other components with an M8 stem.
Instead of GF-S
Same diameter: you substitute it for the standard pipe only at the most heavily loaded points.
Connectors
You connect it with GF-S connectors: we will confirm the suitable models on the project.
With your cutting order, tell us which pieces need threading at the end.
The LeanProducts service
From drawing to finished structure, with a single point of contact:
Design and load calculation
We start from your sketch or dimensions: we choose profiles and connectors and check spans, joints and loads.
Cut to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in the design, ready to assemble.
Kit or assembled structure
You receive the kit with the cut parts and the list of components, or the structure already assembled.
Spare parts and modifications
When the process changes we supply components and new cuts to modify or extend the structure.
Send us a sketch, a photo or the overall dimensions: we will reply with codes, quantities and cut lengths.

The diameter is the same, 19 mm, but the GF-S Hard has a thick wall: it weighs 0.56 kg/m instead of 0.20 and has almost double the moment of inertia (0.51 against 0.27 × 10⁴ mm⁴). The end can be threaded M8.
Yes: the central bore at the end is threaded M8 and you screw in a levelling foot or other components with an M8 stem, without a threaded insert. Let us know with your cutting order.
For legs and uprights of light structures that need to bend less or carry a screwed-in foot. The rest of the structure stays in the lighter standard GF-S.
The GF-S W profile joins two Ø 19 pipes into a 44 mm wide profile: mounted upright it has a moment of inertia of 2.87 × 10⁴ mm⁴, more than five times the Hard. Beyond that you move to GF-N Ø 28.
GF-S Ø 19 series connectors: we will confirm the suitable models when we prepare the component list.
With the inner end cap dedicated to GF-S Hard, GFA-443: the standard GF-S end cap is not suitable for this profile. If you fit a foot at the end, the end cap is not needed.
The GF-S profile is the basic Ø 19 pipe. The one with C6 slot adds a slot for slot nuts, hooks and accessories. The Hard has a thick wall, almost double the moment of inertia and an M8 threadable end for feet. The W joins two pipes into a 44 mm wide profile, more than 10 times stiffer when mounted upright. F35 and F22 have a flat flange for labels, tags and light supports.
The GF-N Ø 28 is the standard for workstations, flow racks and trolleys. The GF-S Ø 19 weighs about half as much (0.20 kg/m versus 0.37) and is for light frames, dividers, guards and small mechanisms. The GF-G Ø 43 is for uprights and cross members that have to carry a lot: over a 1000 mm span it supports 851 N at the centre versus 195 N for the GF-N, for the same deflection. It is often worth mixing them, for example GF-G uprights and GF-N cross members joined by mixed connectors.
Yes. Green Frame profiles can be ordered as 4000 mm bars or cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Give us the dimensions of the pieces or send us a sketch of the structure and we will prepare the cutting list.
Yes. The standard series is GF-N (Ø 28 mm pipe); GF-S (Ø 19 mm) is lighter and more compact, GF-G (Ø 43 mm) is for stiffer structures. There are mixed connectors that join pipes from different series, for example a Ø 19 or Ø 43 pipe to a Ø 28 pipe, so you use the right diameter at every point of the structure.
No. The connectors are fixed to the pipe with hex socket screws: a hex key is all you need. Loosen the screw, insert the pipe, bring it into position and tighten. No welding, drilling or painting.
Yes, it is the strength of the pipe system: loosen the connectors, move or replace the pipes and retighten. You can raise a shelf, extend a workbench or reuse the components in another structure when the process changes, with continuous improvement in mind.
Yes. We can design the structure (workstation, flow rack, trolley, line-side supermarket) with the load calculation and deliver it to you assembled or as a kit with the parts already cut and the list of components.
No. Profiles and connectors are in anodised aluminium: the surface resists corrosion and wear without painting and is easy to clean.
Yes. The range includes conductive components such as ESD inner end caps, ESD clips for electrical continuity between pipe and connector, and ESD inserts for levelling feet and castors. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will tell you the components to use.
