AL Modular System · C10 profiles
Aluminium strut profile 90x90 – heavy profile with 10 mm slot
The 90x90 is the heavy square profile of the C10 slot in the Bosch Rexroth aluminium modular system: two 10 mm slots on each side and a cross-section of 38.4 cm². With Ix = Iy = 299.8 cm⁴ and It = 118.6 cm⁴, you use it for machine bases, gantries, plant posts and frames carrying high loads from several directions. Order it as a full bar or cut to length in our workshop.
Why choose it
Two slots per side
Eight 10 mm slots: fix cross members, panels and accessories side by side on the same face.
Rigid in all directions
Ix = Iy = 299.8 cm⁴ and It = 118.6 cm⁴: withstands loads from several sides and torsion.
High-capacity slot
Static slot limit: 18000 N with T-nut, 24000 N with sliding block.
Bar or cut to length
6070 mm bar or pieces cut from 50 mm upwards, with the cutting list.
Choose it if…
- You are building machine bases, gantries or heavily loaded frames.
- The profile is loaded from several directions or in torsion.
- You want two slots per side to fix elements side by side.
- You need a high-capacity slot for fixings.
Choose another solution if…
- You need a lighter 90x90: Aluminium strut profile 90x90L →
- You need a long, very rigid cross member: Aluminium strut profile 90x180 →
- A smaller square profile is enough: Aluminium strut profile 45x45 →

The LeanProducts service
From the bill of materials to ready-to-assemble parts, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths on your parts list: full bar or cut to length.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from the parts list or a sketch: we check profiles, brackets, connectors, nuts and cover caps for every joint.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply the same original components.
Send us the parts list or a photo of the structure: we reply with codes and quantities.

The 90x90 bracket for slot C10: it holds 12000 N and is fixed with eight M8x25 screws tightened to 25 Nm. Available as a set with screws and nuts, also in designLINE finish, or as the bracket alone; once assembled, close it with the cover cap for the 90x90 bracket.
No, the quick connector cannot be used on the 90x90. For joints use the 90x90 bracket or, for high static and dynamic forces, the load connector 180x180 Dynamic Load, designed for 90x90, 90x180 and 90x360 profiles.
The 90x90 has a cross-section of 38.4 cm², weighs 10.4 kg/m and has Ix = Iy = 299.8 cm⁴. The 90x90L is the lightweight version: 6.5 kg/m and 211.1 cm⁴. Choose the 90x90 for heavily loaded bases and gantries, the 90x90L when the weight of the structure also matters.
The static slot limit, with the largest thread, is 18000 N with the T-nut and 24000 N with the sliding block. These are values at the onset of deformation: apply your own safety factors and, for a critical joint, send us the drawing and loads.
The 90x90 cover cap in PP, signal grey or black ESD for EPA areas. There is also a version with a hole, for when a screw or end connection passes through the end.
When the cross member is long or heavily loaded: the 90x180 mounted upright has Ix = 2138.3 cm⁴, more than seven times the 90x90, at 17.2 kg/m. The 90x90 remains the choice for posts loaded from several sides.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
