Tensioning connector - connectors for profiles without machining
With the tensioning connector you join two profiles at 90° without drilling or tapping. Slide it into the slot, bring it to the connection point and tighten it with easily accessible screws. The other three slots of the profile remain free for panels and panel elements. It is the original Bosch Rexroth component, with conductive connection for ESD areas.
Why choose it
No machining
No holes or threads: you can mount it on cut-to-length profiles.
Positioned in the slot
It slides in the slot: bring it where you need it before tightening.
Free slots for panels
The other three slots remain free for panels and panel elements.
Up to 3500 N
In slot C10 3500 N and up to 195 Nm on 60x… profiles; in slot C8 1000 N.
Choose it if…
- You want to join two profiles at 90° without drilling
- You need to be able to position the joint along the slot before tightening
- You need the other slots free for panels
- You use 30x… profiles or profiles with slot C10 up to 90x…
Choose another solution if…
- You need more load capacity or a joint with no visible parts: Quick connector 0° →
- You need to join a C8 profile to a C10 one: Slot connector →
- You want a connection entirely inside the slots: Inner bracket →

The LeanProducts service
From parts list to ready-to-assemble kit, with a single point of contact:
Cutting to length
We cut the profiles in our workshop to the lengths in your parts list.
Check of codes and quantities
We start from the parts list or a sketch: we check connectors, fittings, nuts and cover caps for every joint and every slot.
Ready-to-assemble kits
You receive cut profiles and accessories grouped by structure, with the component list.
Spare parts
When you modify or extend the structure we supply the same original components.
Send us the parts list or a photo of the structure: we reply with codes and quantities.

It depends on the profile: C8 for 30x… profiles; C10 L for 45x…L, 45x90SL and 90x90SL profiles; C10 for the other profiles with slot C10, from 40x…L to 90x…, including 60x…, 80x…L and 45x90x90L.
In slot C8 1000 N and 35 Nm. In slot C10 3500 N and 110 Nm, rising to 195 Nm on 60x… profiles. These are static limit values: apply your own safety factors.
Both require no machining and in slot C8 they hold the same, 1000 N. In slot C10 the tensioning connector carries more (3500 N versus 3000 N) and leaves the other three slots free; the slot connector also has the mixed C8/C10 version and, with the anti-torsion element removed, can be oriented as you like.

When in slot C10 you need more load capacity (4000 N with bush D17) or a joint with no visible parts. However, the quick connector requires a hole in the profile for the bush; the tensioning connector does not.
Yes: the connector occupies only one slot and leaves the other three free, where you insert panels or support profiles for the panel elements.
Yes, the tensioning connector creates a conductive connection between the profiles.
It is the width of the profile slot and determines which accessories you use. Slot C6 (6 mm) is for 20 series profiles, C8 (8 mm) for the 30 series, C10 (10 mm) for profiles from the 40 series upwards. Nuts, screws, brackets and cover caps are chosen by slot: each accessory's product page shows the right one.
Yes. You can order the full bar or the piece cut to the length you need: we do the cutting ourselves, in our workshop. Each profile's product page shows the maximum bar length and the minimum cut length.
Look at the moments of inertia Ix and Iy: the higher they are, the less the profile deflects under load. For the same section, “L” profiles are lightened and deflect a little more. For long spans or high loads move to a larger section or a tall profile (e.g. 45x90 instead of 45x45). If you send us drawing and loads, we will check the choice.
The T-nut is inserted from the front into the slot, even in an assembled structure, and positions itself when you tighten the screw: it is the standard choice for fixing accessories. The sliding block withstands higher forces, but normally has to be inserted from the profile end before closing the frame; spring versions stay where you put them.
The simplest way is the bracket, which joins two profiles at 90° with screws and nuts in the slot, without machining. For end, T, 45° or three-way connections there are dedicated connectors, some of which require profile machining as stated on their product page.
Yes, for several accessories (for example cover caps, hinges and nuts) there are conductive ESD versions, indicated in the name or variant. Tell us which EPA area you work in and we will confirm the components to use.
On each product page you will find the MGE catalogue pages to download as PDF, with dimensioned drawings and technical data; the Specifications tab shows the data for the variant you have chosen.
Yes. Send us the parts list or a sketch with dimensions: we give you codes, quantities and cut lengths and prepare the kit with profiles already cut and the accessories.
